What It Feels Like For A Girl 2

I'm the 21 year old mother of two little girls. Mollie Leigh- 4 months and Bevin Addison Marabeth- 2 years. These two are my life. Everything I ever do is strictly because of them. Nothing else matters besides my Mollie Bug and Bevin Bear.

When they get older, I hope they know how much I have sacrificed for them. I want them to be strong and independent women who will not make the same mistakes that I have. I want them to not have to rely on men to get by in their lives and to only start a family when they are ready. I want them to not take any crap from guys. They will know that they deserve a man who will offer them the world and actually carry through with that promise. That man should rule at their side and not be controlling.

I don't want them to end up with men who cannot find the greatness in women. Bevin and Mollie will understand that women are not weak and emotional-ridden beings. They are strong, beautiful, and kind. And they always will be.

I believe the song is stating that girls usually hide what they are feeling because men constantly judge us for being the weaker sex. Which is completely barbaric and knuckle-dragging ignorance. My girls will know this. My girls will be the type of women who stand up for what they believe in, no matter who is wrongfully judging them.

Do you know what it feels like for a girl? It feels empowering.

What It Feels Like For A Girl

Girls can wear jeans

And cut their hair short
Wear shirts and boots
'Cause it's OK to be a boy
But for a boy to look like a girl is degrading
'Cause you think that being a girl is degrading
But secretly you'd love to know what it's like
Wouldn't you
What it feels like for a girl

Silky smooth
Lips as sweet as candy, baby
Tight blue jeans
Skin that shows in patches

Strong inside but you don't know it
Good little girls they never show it
When you open up your mouth to speak
Could you be a little weak

Do you know what it feels like for a girl
Do you know what it feels like in this world
For a girl

Hair that twirls on finger tips so gently, baby
Hands that rest on jutting hips repenting

Hurt that's not supposed to show
And tears that fall when no one knows
When you're trying hard to be your best
Could you be a little less

Do you know what it feels like for a girl
Do you know what it feels like in this world
What it feels like for a girl

Strong inside but you don't know it
Good little girls they never show it
When you open up your mouth to speak
Could you be a little weak

Do you know what it feels like for a girl
Do you know what it feels like in this world
For a girl

In this world
Do you know
Do you know
Do you know what it feels like for a girl
What it feels like in this world

First intro post to let you know how I roll.

So this is my first post ever. I am somewhat dedicating my blog to Madonna thanks to the ever popular show Glee. Glee allowed me to truly see how amazing an artist the Material Girl is. She believes in equality and doesn't let a single thing hold her back. I wish to teach this message to my girls, who I will introduce later on in my blog.

One post will be a song of the day from Madonna, the other will be about my day. Every song will have a tie in to my post.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading [=
